Hi, I’m Victoria!
Who am I?
I worked full-time for a wonderful B2B agency in Sydney and Melbourne rising to the role of senior producer and director of corporate videos and audio-visual experiences. The team and projects were amazing, and I'll always be grateful for the opportunities and experiences I had there. However, times were changing, and the fit no longer felt right. I knew it was time to move on.
I had seen many colleagues leave to start their own businesses, so I assumed my agency experience would be a perfect springboard to create something aligned with my personal dream. I left and was fortunate to continue freelancing for the company while also winning projects with other agencies and production companies—all through word of mouth.
I built a 6 figure production business and got to work with some legends of the film industry, business, and social enterprise. Highlights include producing a short environmental documentary for National Geographic Channel, working with Serena Williams, being selected to produce a webcast segment for Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project, and launching the rebrand for AutoBake which inspired “an offer too good to refuse” where the company was sold for millions to an international buyer.
When the digital revolution turned specialists into one-person bands, I realised I no longer wanted to be part of that world. Doing the job of five people was not in integrity for me. Corporations wanted one person to conceptualise, organize, shoot, light, record audio, wrangle data, conduct interviews, edit, and handle client communications. I felt this compromised the quality of work, so I jumped ship to reinvent myself.
What a shock it was to discover what it takes to successfully design an online business from scratch and market yourself without relying on word of mouth! I had to learn how to create, market, and run a new solo business. Getting in front of the camera, even after years of helping others do it, was challenging. I didn’t realize how hard it would be when I was so close to it all.
I knew how to work with the equipment, was savvy with software and systems, had coaching experience, was a good writer, and could produce award winning videos to communicate other businesses stories compellingly. But showing up to promote myself was a task way beyond those skills—it was a whole new leap into visibility I had to understand and then develop. For me, a lot of that expansion has been around the emotional aspects of showing up, and finding a strategy that aligned with my strengths and offers and purpose.
So, I completely relate to any compassionate, introverted, neurodivergent, creative, wise woman who wants to pour her heart into a meaningful business and make a beautiful difference in her life and the lives of others. That’s why I created the Yellow Brick Road Academy and the Visibility LEAP method.
My mission is to help women like you show up authentically and share your stories with the world because voices from women like you are few and far between. There is a huge need for voices like yours, and only people like us can fill that gap. Together, we can begin to create balance in a world where marketing is often seen as a dirty word and transform it into something aligned, genuine, and capable of changing the world compassionately.
